Open Water Course: Your First Step into Scuba Diving

This beginner diving course will allow you to book dive trips anywhere in the world, diving up to a maximum depth of 18 meters. You will learn about essential scuba diving equipment and key skills, including buoyancy control and underwater movement.

You don’t need to know how to swim to learn! Our instructors will teach you step-by-step so you feel completely comfortable in the water. For the best care, 1 instructor will teach a maximum of 4 students. We welcome everyone with a heart ready for underwater adventures, starting from 10 years old (children will receive a Junior Open Water certification).

Course Details (Takes 3-4 Days in Total)

STEP 1: ACADEMIC SESSION
Learn the diving theory, complete fun exercises, and take the final exam. This step includes 2 online classes (2-3 hours per class).

STEP 2: POOL/CONFINED SESSION
Get to know your scuba gear and practice basic diving skills in a swimming pool. This step takes 1 full day (9:00 AM – 4:30 PM).

STEP 3: OPEN WATER SESSION
Head to the real sea for your final exams! It takes 2 days with 4 dives in total. You can choose your preferred location:

  • Samaesan, Chonburi
  • Phuket, Phi Phi, Racha Islands (For Phuket, you will get 2 days and a total of 6 dives!)

December marks the beginning of winter in Egypt. Water temperatures range between 24-26°C. We highly recommend preparing at least a 5mm wetsuit paired with a hood for thermal protection, alongside a windbreaker jacket for your time onboard.

This route is not recommended for beginners. The Brothers, Daedalus, and Elphinstone route features open-ocean diving with strong, unpredictable currents and steep drop-offs. Divers should possess excellent buoyancy control and have solid experience managing currents.

Yes, Thai passport holders are required to obtain a visa to enter Egypt. You can apply at the Embassy of Egypt in Thailand, or in some cases, via the e-Visa portal (subject to current official immigration policies). Our team is more than happy to guide you through the documentation process.
